Silicone-Free Hair Care
About these silicone-free hair care
Silicone-free hair care
Every Evera formula is 100% silicone-free. Silicones (dimethicone, cyclopentasiloxane, amodimethicone) coat the hair to fake shine — but they also block moisture, build up over time and leave the cuticle drier than when you started. We use plant actives instead: marshmallow root for slip, rice protein for strength, and Italian aloe for hydration.
What you'll notice first
Hair that feels lighter at the root. Less dullness between washes. Gloss that comes from inside the fibre, not from a coating that rinses out. It takes 2–3 washes to clear old silicone build-up — after that, the texture shift is unmistakable.

Frequently asked
Why avoid silicones in hair care?
Silicones (dimethicone, cyclomethicone, amodimethicone, etc.) coat the hair shaft to mimic the *feeling* of smoothness — without adding any actual conditioning. Over time they build up, prevent moisture penetration, and require harsh sulphate shampoos to remove (vicious cycle). They also wash off into waterways with environmental impact.
Does silicone-free hair care really work as well?
Yes — and often better. Plant-derived emollients like marshmallow root provide natural slip. Rice protein and vegetable amino acids genuinely strengthen the hair. The 'shiny smooth' feeling is real, not a coating illusion. The first 2-3 washes feel different as old silicone build-up rinses off; after that, hair feels lighter and absorbs treatments better.
How can I tell if a product contains silicones?
Look for ingredients ending in -cone, -conol, -xane, or -siloxane. Common ones: dimethicone, cyclomethicone, amodimethicone, cyclopentasiloxane, phenyl trimethicone, dimethiconol. 'Water-soluble silicones' (PEG-prefixed) wash off better but still coat temporarily.
Will I need to detox my hair when switching to silicone-free?
Optional. A single clarifying wash with a stronger surfactant can speed up the transition by removing built-up silicone in one wash. After that, sulphate-free + silicone-free maintenance is enough. Some people experience 1-2 weeks of 'in-between' before hair settles into its new texture.
Which Evera products are silicone-free?
All of them. Every Evera product is silicone-free, sulphate-free, and vegan. There's no separate 'silicone-free line' — the whole range qualifies.
