Indigo (Indigofera tinctoria) is a traditional natural dye plant. In Evera's Dark Line it appears as an indigo leaf extract, alongside boxwood leaf extract and blackcurrant fruit extract.
What Is in the Dark Line
Indigo and boxwood extracts are traditional plant-colour ingredients. The Dark shampoo and mask are not hair dyes, and we do not claim they darken or change your colour.
Blackcurrant fruit extract is rich in anthocyanins, the compounds that give the fruit its deep purple colour. In the Dark line it is marked organic in the ingredient list.
Tea leaf powder (Camellia sinensis, in Supherbal Mask No.5) is a plant ingredient we list on the label. We do not claim a specific effect.
Liquorice root extract is in the Dark line and is marked organic in the ingredient list.

Will indigo products stain my hands or shower?
These are wash-and-rinse products, not indigo paste, but indigo is a pigment, so rinse well and use an old towel the first time. We have not tested for staining, so we cannot promise there will be none.
Can I use the Dark Line on naturally dark hair that isn't coloured?
Yes, the Dark line is made for dark hair whether or not it is coloured. We do not claim it changes depth or shine, or extends the life of your colour.

A step-by-step Evera ritual with the Dark shampoo and mask.
- Apply Evera Supherbal Shampoo No.5 to wet hair. (60s)
- Massage for 30–60 seconds, working into roots and lengths. (60s)
- Rinse thoroughly. Indigo is a pigment, so use an old towel the first time. (30s)
