Gentle Shampoos
About these gentle shampoos
Every Evera shampoo is paraben-free and vegan. To be open about the cleanser, our shampoos use a gentle, coconut-derived cleanser (sodium coco-sulfate), so they do contain a sulfate, and none contains silicones. Choose Frequent Use Shampoo N1 for daily washing, Moisturising Shampoo No.2 for dry hair, or a Supherbal shampoo for coloured hair (No.3 red, No.4 blonde, No.5 dark). 250 ml each, made in Italy.
What paraben-free means
Parabens are preservatives, such as methylparaben and propylparaben, used to keep water-based products from spoiling. No Evera product contains one. The shampoos are preserved with sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate and benzyl alcohol, all listed on the label. Paraben-free says nothing about the cleanser, so we name that below.
How to choose
- Frequent Use Shampoo N1: daily washing on any hair type.
- Moisturising Shampoo No.2: dry, frizzy or curly hair.
- Supherbal Shampoo No.3: red and copper to auburn.
- Supherbal Shampoo No.4: natural, highlighted or lightened blonde.
- Supherbal Shampoo No.5: dark hair, natural or coloured.
Each is 250 ml. Want a paraben-free conditioner too? Frequent Use Conditioner N1 is paraben-free, as is every Evera product. The Daily Duo N1 bundles Frequent Use Shampoo N1 and Frequent Use Conditioner N1 for £63 instead of £70.
What is in them
All five use sodium coco-sulfate, a gentle, coconut-derived cleanser, with cocamidopropyl betaine, decyl glucoside and coco-glucoside. It is a sulfate, so these are not for you if you avoid sulfates altogether. They are silicone-free, vegan and never tested on animals, and plant extracts marked on the label come from organic farming.
Questions
Are all Evera shampoos paraben-free?
Yes. All five shampoos are paraben-free, and so is every other Evera product: conditioner, masks, Liquid Gloss and styling.
What do you use to preserve the shampoos instead?
Sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate and benzyl alcohol, which you can see in the full ingredient list on each product page.
Is paraben-free shampoo also free of sulfates?
Not here. Each Evera shampoo uses sodium coco-sulfate, a coconut-derived cleanser, so it does contain a sulfate. Whether a shampoo contains parabens and whether it contains sulfates are separate questions.
Is there a paraben-free shampoo for coloured hair?
Yes. Supherbal Shampoo No.3 is for red tones, Supherbal Shampoo No.4 for blonde and Supherbal Shampoo No.5 for dark hair, and all are paraben-free.
