A blonde shampoo that is not purple. Rhubarb stem extract, with organic-farmed calendula and hops, is there to keep natural, highlighted and bleached blonde soft and bright, washed with a gentle, coconut-derived cleanser. Made in Italy and used every day in the four GA Salons in London.
Who it is for
Natural, highlighted, bleached, balayage, grey and silver hair, if you want a brightening shampoo that is gentle on the scalp and formulated to help reduce brassiness.
Not for: red or dark hair, which have their own shampoos (Supherbal Shampoo No.3 and Supherbal Shampoo No.5). It contains no violet pigment, so it will not cancel strong brass the way a purple toner does. Think of it as a brightening shampoo, not a toner.
What is in it
- Rhubarb stem extract. The plant this formula is built around, chosen to keep blonde tones bright.
- Calendula and hops extracts. Both from organic farming. Calendula is there to calm the scalp, hops for softness and shine.
- Fenugreek and rice extracts. Also from organic farming, added to strengthen and soften.
- Niacinamide (vitamin B3). A scalp-conditioning ingredient.
- Sodium coco-sulfate. The cleanser: a gentle, coconut-derived sulfate, working alongside cocamidopropyl betaine and decyl glucoside. That makes this a shampoo with a sulfate in it, and we would rather say so plainly.
Vegan, silicone-free and paraben-free, and never tested on animals. Orange flower and vanilla extracts and fragrance give the scent; the full ingredient list on this page shows the fragrance allergens.
How to use
Apply to wet hair and leave for one to three minutes, depending on how much brightening you want, then rinse thoroughly. Use it two or three times a week as your main shampoo, or alternate it with Frequent Use Shampoo N1.
