Every Evera formulation undergoes a minimum of three distinct stability tests. These assess how our plant-led preparations withstand temperature fluctuations, light exposure and microbial challenges, ensuring product integrity.
Our commitment to efficacy is demonstrated through rigorous testing. We focus on measurable outcomes directly relating to hair and scalp health — hydration levels, elasticity, cuticle smoothness and overall barrier function.
Most brands rely on in-vitro studies — tests conducted in a lab environment. Evera, however, prioritises clinical testing, employing independent laboratories for controlled human trials, providing real-world data.
We also conduct extensive ex-vivo testing, using human hair tresses to evaluate protein retention or lipid content. This allows for deeper understanding of botanical interaction with the hair fibre.
What we do not test for is equally important. We do not engage in animal testing, a practice both unethical and often irrelevant to human biological responses. Our ingredients are chosen from suppliers adhering to the same non-animal testing principles.
We avoid arbitrary claims about 'miracle' ingredients without scientific backing. Instead, we focus on formulations where ingredient synergy and optimal pH balance contribute to demonstrable benefits. Each ingredient’s role must be justified.
Sensory evaluation is crucial — how a product feels, smells and performs in daily use. We conduct panel tests for texture, spreadability and user experience. Irritation potential is meticulously assessed through patch tests.
Safety assessments are paramount. This involves screening for potential allergens and ensuring compliance with stringent European Union cosmetic regulations. Every component, from a polysaccharide to a plant extract, is scrutinised.
Our testing philosophy is rooted in scientific rigour and ethical responsibility. We aim for transparency in demonstrating what our plant science achieves. This informs every product we formulate.
