Why we will not reformulate for cost.

Why we will not reformulate for cost.

Across all Evera preparations, the active botanical content remains consistent. We specify particular origins for ingredients like Sicilian blood orange extract or cold-pressed Tuscan olive oil. This ensures a consistent phytochemical profile, fundamental to our efficacy.

When formulating, we select ingredients for their specific molecular contributions. A particular polysaccharide, for instance, offers a distinct lamellar structure that interacts uniquely with the hair fibre. Substituting it would alter the product’s performance.

Most brands, facing rising raw material costs, often adjust formulations incrementally to maintain margins. This can involve reducing active concentrations or replacing them with synthetic analogues. Evera’s approach is different.

We consider our formulations as complete compositions, where each component plays a synergistic role. Altering one element — such as replacing a specific glyceride or adjusting a pH regulator — can compromise this delicate balance. It is not a matter of simply swapping parts.

Even minor reformulations can significantly change a product’s effect on hair. The sensory experience, lasting benefits, and stability can be affected. We believe our users depend on a predictable outcome.

The cost of raw materials fluctuates. A particular harvest might yield less, or geopolitical factors might affect supply chains. These are realities of sourcing natural ingredients of uncompromising quality.

Our priority is the integrity of the ingredient list — the INCI declaration — not its immediate market price. We commit to sourcing the finest botanicals, regardless of transient market pressures. This extends to our choice of extracts and essential oils.

This long-term perspective means absorbing increased costs rather than diluting the quality of our offering. We view our products as an investment in consistent botanical care. Our promise is an unchanging standard.
